Benefits of Bee Propolis

When it comes to supplementation, there aren’t too many supplements I’ll recommend to everyone. We’re all bio-individual and I believe everyone should have a targeted supplement approach based on their bloodwork, labs, genetic makeup, and nutrient deficiencies. With that being said, there are most definitely a few supplements that offer general support and I believe everyone can benefit from. One of them is bee propolis.

Propolis is referred to as the bodyguard of the beehive because it’s used to coat the walls of the hive in order to keep bacteria out. Bee products, specifically propolis, can offer up tons of benefits to the human body. It’s been shown to suppress inflammation, support the immune system, and potentially have antimicrobial effects to fight against gut infections such as parasites. Additionally, bee propolis is high in antioxidants which reduces oxidative stress. When we’re able to reduce our oxidative stress, we can then lower our risk of degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s, osteoporosis, and cancer.

Overall, bee propolis is a supplement worth adding to your routine. I use this daily and always have it on hand when traveling!

I highly recommend Bee Keeper’s Naturals Propolis Spray which you can find online or in Whole Foods!
